Sri Lanka Test Series 2006 - What went wrong?
« on: June 05, 2006, 23:09 PM »

Well lets face it we really should have beat Murali sorry i mean, Sri Lanka.

So where do we think England went wrong?

For starters, what are we doing preparing wickets that are going to spin? We've got (when fit) the worlds best pace attack and Sri Lanka well they've got that little man have'nt they!

What else went wrong?

Preparing a turning track at Trent Bridge didn't help. A Sri Lanka win was on the cards there as soon as they won the toss and took first knock. And we have to be more ruthless at bowling out the tail. Harmison and Simon Jones were badly missed.

Definately missed the clinicalness of bowlers like Harmison and Jones.
