Glamorgan break the club record as they defeat the West Indies tourists at Ebbw Vale
A match winning 79* from acting captain David Hemp guided Glamorgan to a thrilling four wicket victory over the West Indies `A` in the final over of their high-scoring 50 overs friendly at Ebbw Vale as they successfully chased their highest ever total batting second in a one-day game.
In the end, after blocking the first delivery from Daren Powell, Hemp struck the next two deliveries to the boundary to see his side home with their total on 328-6, beating their previous highest batting second - 314/2 against the British Universities at Cambridge in their Benson and Hedges Cup match in 1996.
