Over the last week or so there has been considerable speculation in the media with regard to David Fulton’s plans for the future once the current season ends at the end of September.

Speaking in order to clarify the matter, Fulton commented:
‘In response to recent speculation I would like to make it clear that I have not announced any forthcoming retirement.
‘Neither myself nor Kent County Cricket Club have made any definite plans about my future.
‘I am, as I have always been, totally committed to the club and would like to continue playing my part in its future success.'

I doubt if he'll go on much longer though. Two seasons at the most.
Players seem to retire much younger than they used to - 36 or 37 now the preferred age.
