[img]Northamptonshire have re-branded their recreational and professional game under the banner of Northants cricket.

The new brand will allow all levels of cricket at Northants to work together to create a strong cricket base.

The county are looking to push forward their strategic plan and business objectives to make Northants cricket competitive both on and of the field.

Northants cricket chief executive Mark Tagg said: “The restructuring of the cricket department and the county board has been an ideal opportunity to take a fresh look at what the club stands for within the county and community.

“We are hopeful that the club will become a focal point for cricket within Northamptonshire and surrounding counties supporting talent identification and development for many years to come.”

The new logo has been created in partnership with Armadillo design and print who have been bought on board to design a new corporate image and guidelines

John Cox, from Armadillo design added: “The Northamptonshire cricket club has a rich and long history – it has been an important part of Northampton’s community for well over a hundred years – and as a local company we’re proud to have contributed to the club’s new image.”

Northants cricket marketing executive Ellie Haig said: “We are delighted with the efforts of Armadillo and are looking forward to a new season under the banner of Northants Cricket.
