Ireland v England

The one-off international is on now. England have just lost Collingwood, 92-3 after 14 overs. All the batsmen out to careless shots. BTW anyone in the UK can get live coverage on their PC via the BBC website. You will need to have a video/audio player like Realplayer installed. I'm watching it now!

And Trescothick has just gone to his 50. England could do with someone staying with him. No KP in the side today.

Thanks Badger, I'd forgotten all about the game!

The team lineup is: Trescothick, Joyce, Strauss, PD Collingwood, IR Bell, Chapple, Plunkett, Jones, Harmison, Mahmood, Dalrymple

This is the link to watch it on the internet via the BBC. (My computers too slow though  Angry)

Trescothick is looking good for a hundred. He's just become the fourth England player to reach 4000 runs in ODIs. Only Stewart (4677) and Gooch (4290) are ahead of him now.

Thats some achievement, i'd back him to smash the Stewies record.

England have a good scoring rate, but they haven't hit a 4 for 16 overs. Hopefully Tres will start playing some big shots once he gets his 100.

Good to see KP in the crowd signing autographs.

Tresco 104 no with 11 fours and Bell 51 no with 4 fours.

RR of 5.63 an over though.

Ireland 63/2 12 overs.

Does this match have full one day international status?

Yes, it's Ireland's first ODI. Along with Scotland, Bermuda, Canada and Holland: all matches those teams play against Test sides and Kenya (and each other) qualify as full ODIs as of this year. I was surprised to see Ireland get 263, they don't usually do that well against county teams!
