Does anyone know the extent of Benning's ankle injury? Is it long-term?

Can't find anything about it on the Surrey site I'm afraid. When did he get the injury - was it on Sunday? I saw his 60 against Essex, that was a great little knock, 50 off 33 balls! Hopefully he'll be back soon as it's time he had a run in the side. Having said that, his injury has given a chance to Surrey legend Ali Brown!

Yeah I couldn't find anything on the Surrey site. He picked it up last Sunday. Is an old ankle injury apparently and were confident he would make it, but obvioulsy not!!!!!

Ash - I must of cursed him because I put him into my team on Sunday morning. He got 8 and a ankle injury!!!!! Good job rest of my team is doing well. I'll leave him in as is nearly 20/20 when he will do well.

Sorry Badger but I am not a Surrey fan. I am a Yorkshire fan!!!!! I just have 2 Surrey players in my fantasy team. That being Mahmood and Benning! Both brough in this week and both have done nothing. I think I have cursed them both. Could do with Ramps out as suspect a few people will have him!

Yeah, looks like they rushed him back too soon.  Angry  But Mahmood and Ormond are both injured so maybe he was needed. He's not really an all-rounder, more of a batsman who bowls.

Not sure cricinfo are now showing that he bowled a full 5 overs!

Perhaps just a glitch last night and hes not injured after all!

189 not out at Bristol yesterday, off 146 balls. I think we can take it that he's fit again.

Maybe a long shot for the one-day series against Pakistan in August?
