I can't see Monty being dropped but would like a little more batting up top.

When is Anderson going to be fit?

More to the point, when is Flintoff going to be fit? He's not guaranteed to play in this match.

It will be interesting to see if Dalrymple is preferred to Panesar. Much better batsman of course, but is he a Test class bowler?

I'm not sure but we need to sort that no.8 batting slot.

It would be a shame to see Monty dropped because he is the best english spinner available but its him or Plunkett i guess.

I'd also be tempted to take a look at a different keeper with the winter tour in mind.

Matt Prior would be my choice, but it looks like Read and even Foster may be ahead of him now.

Flintoff could be back for the second Test. But there's a doubt about Hoggard now! He's had an injury to his bowling hand, "accidentally" caused by England rival Tim Bresnan. Bit suspicious, that.

Freddie played a 20/20 match for Lancashire yesterday and is set to play again on Tuesday night.

I guess providing he suffers no setbacks it just be a case of proving his fitness for the second test.

Yes, encouraging return for him. He's hoping to play a Championship match as well.
