County Cricket Club

Some of you may have seen me moaning about the standard of the various County Cricket Clubs websites.

They really are awful and many contain little useful information, that leaves alot of fans in the dark about certain team news, match reports, injury updates etc.

Scouring the internet is in many cases fruitless (with the possible exception of match reports), as the information is just not out there having never been release by the respective county teams.

Is it really that hard to update a website? This post in this blog will probably take me about 10 minutes to write, granted if i was looking at news on a county’s site i’d perhaps expect a better standard of writing but right now i’d settle for something rather than nothing.

Its so frustrating, County cricket rightly or wrongly does’nt currently command much if any attention from the majority of the national papers, and with the possible exception of a couple of cricket sites, www.cricinfo.com being one of them, news is hard to come by on the net too, but they can’t be helped by a lack of information offered by the Counties. If they did’nt have to dig around for cricket info perhaps there might be more coverage in the daily papers.
