Somerset County Cricket Club website
This is a review of www.somersetcountycc.premiumtv.co.uk.
Following on from my recent post about the poor standards of Counties websites, i’m going to review each County site.
Starting with my team Somerset.
Appearance (4/5) - A nice simple site design using the counties colours.
Ease of Use (0/5) - An absolute nightmare, having teamed up with premium TV for their website (the same company that seem to run 99% of all UK football teams sites), to acess almost all the information you need to register for an account first. An absolute no-no these days. Also i found some links on the site did not even work!
Information (1/5) - Its difficult to rate as to access almost all of the site i need to register and this is something i never do unless i am going to contribute to a site, like a forum or a blog etc.
Updates (1/5) - Well having clicked on live scores i can see information about the County Championship match against Worcester on th 7th - 10th of June 2006!
Overall (6/20) - A terrible effort and a perfect start to underline the standard of some counties websites. Its all very well having a slick looking site but you need the content to back it up.
